Cornerstone Children Send Bear Hug to Others
Cornerstone Children's Center in Vidalia, GA had a Teddy Bear Unit for the month of September and finalized the unit with their Annual Teddy Bear Picnic on September 30th.  There were 2 picnics held that day for the different age groups.

During the month of September, the kids collected teddy bears for The Sunshine House Regional Children's Advocacy Center to coincide with their unit.  The Sunshine House helps children who have been physically and sexually abused.  Although physically located in Emanuel County, the center services children in 5 counties:  Candler, Emanuel, Jefferson, Toombs, and Washington counties.  When a child visits the center for the first time, they are given an opportunity to choose a teddy bear and/or stuffed animal of their choice.

Close to 100 teddy bears/stuffed animals were collected on behalf of TSH.  Executive Director, Carol Donaldson said, "We are so grateful to the Director of Cornerstone, Cassie Neal, for thinking of such a unique way of getting children involved in their community and helping other children."

Plans are underway for our 2017 Sporting Clay Tournament and Auction.  Last year's event, was our most successful event to date.  In 2017, The Sunshine House will also celebrate it's 25th anniversary.  Stay tune for various functions throughout the year to celebrate this enormous milestone.
